Ceremony for Dolphin and Whale Freedom Sep 1 in Hervey Bay

Representatives from the Butchula Nation from Fraser Island will sail with marine conservation yacht Migaloo 2 on Sunday 1st of September to participate in a global action and ceremony for dolphin freedom. This event will be Live Streamed on www.migaloo2.com from 11 am onwards. We will be doing ceremony with local indigenous people of Fraser island and Hervey Bay from conservation yacht migaloo 2 and the local dolphins.

Migaloo 2 will be in Urangan marina from 2 pm friday 30th and departing 9-30 am Sat 31st for Fraser island and Hervey bay. We will be available for interviews, holding banners and doing some didgerido playing for any media before we depart. To contact the skipper of migaloo 2 Dean Jefferys phone 0467485903

Whale tangled in shark net Hervey BAy 18th Aug

Following is a link to a news story i sent in about a whale i saw dragging a shark net in hervey bay a few days ago. Apparently they cut a whale, from a shark net at kirra. could be the same one in my photo. Shame the media didnt mention my quote saying the shark nets have got to go. Guess its obvious except often media just report of the brave rescue by trained recuers and sea world vets yet sea world refuse to condemn the nets and people aren’t screaming yet for their removal, but if a human was killed by something everyone would scream to get rid of that something . Well shark nets are KILLING heaps of whales dolphins turtles dugons and friendly sharks. Time for shark nets to go and the creatures of the sea swim free. Join us in spirit, physically or in cyberspace in Ceremony and to celebrate Dolphin Freedom on Sep 1st at 11 am This event will be Live Streamed on this page and at www.migaloo2.com from 11 am onwards. We will be doing ceremony with local indigenous people of Fraser island from conservation yacht migaloo 2 and the local dolphins.

Ive been in Hervey Bay with the whales for a month now on migaloo 2 with two to go yeah. Having amazing connection with the whales and dolphins.
