Looking for Migaloo
Id like to share about my recent sailing adventure looking for Migaloo over the last few days. As some may know Im making a doco atm called “The Toad the Whale and the Sun” We are fortunate on the East coast of Australia to host a migration of 30,000 humpback whales that swim from the Antarctic to the Great Barrier Reef every year. Holding the high vibration of the migration is a rare white humpback whale called “Migaloo” meaning white fella in the local language. I heard Migaloo was on his way and worked out his speed and then planned to meet him in my sailing ketch called Migaloo 2. Years earlier I had heard the legend of Jiddera (migaloo) the white whale which is similar to the white buffalo legend that signifies a time of great changes coming on Earth. On board, along with a few close friends, Id invited two special aboriginal elders who where both deeply connected to whale energy.
I could feel magic afoot. For the 2 nights preceding going to look for migaloo I had had strong shamanic activations. At the time I felt the activations were preparing me to open channels to receive new energies.
My calculations had Migaloo passing Byron Bay around 3- 5 pm, so I sailed south to increase our chances of seeing him as he could always slow down. It was 2-30 pm and time to turn around if I was to get some of the crew to land before dark. Yet I didn’t want to turn around till we met Migaloo. I played some didgeridoo towards Migaloo to let him know we were coming and I could feel him close. Yet I didn’t know how close. I slowed down and stepped out of my mind. I slipped into a shamanic space and could feel Migaloo connected to, and being one with the creating force. Migaloo and the group consciousness of the whale nation where there. Next to the whales I could feel me and humanity somewhat struggling to be in that unified field yet knowing that we were part of it. Migaloo and the whales seemed to feel us next to them and gave a welcoming to all humans to join this field.
This feeling was probably only seconds yet seemed eternal. I felt I had met Migaloo in the most purest form, a vibration of light. Still I wanted to see him with my eyes. One of the Elders, Jingki, said after she saw a whale slapping the water 5 times with its pictorial fins that we would see Migaloo at 5 pm. The whale told us, she said. I nodded and hoped she was right yet dismissed the pec slapping as the whale just playing as I’ve seen them do for many years.
It was now 3 pm and i could feel the pressure to return to the shelter of Byron Bay. Reluctantly we said goodbye to Migaloo that we felt was nearby and turned downwind to return to the bay to get people to shore just before dark.
The next day I found out that Migaloo was exactly where we would have been if we would have keeper sailing south. We would have met Migaloo at 5pm. Just when Jingki had said we would. So as I sailed somewhat disappointed back to my safe river port I reflected on why I didn’t see Migaloo and what I had learnt from it all. Jingki lives from omens from nature, that how she decides what to do. I need to trust omens and intuition more and believe in connection and telepathic communication and believe in and follow unashamedly my passion.
Im just a week away from heading out and joining the great whale migration for a few months up to the Great Barrier Reef and Hervey Bay. I plan to continue my work connecting with the whales and the sharks on a deep level. If you want to find out more about the marine conservation work Im doing you can see my website www.migaloo2.com
Photos of Migaloo by Mindy Lewis 18 hour later on the Gold Coast.
Ive just finished some important hull work and some well deserved maintenance and repairs to get Migaloo 2 ready to join the humpback whale migration. It cost about $10000. For a few months every year, I sail migaloo 2 to Hervey Bay where the whales play and the Great Barrier Reef, raising important marine conservation issues like shark nets, drumlines, plastic pollution, minning impact, dolphin captivity, whale stranding, animal communication, etc. Also every year I deepen my connection and understanding of our ancestors from the ocean. If you are feeling the whales or sharks call there are some ways you can join me on migaloo 2. Send me a message at deanjefferys@gmail.com. If you want to see one of the amazing encounters we had with 2 whales in Hervey Bay check the clip below. This year I feel really excited about deepening my telepathic communication skills with the whales and the sharks. Techniques Im happy to share with crew members. You can also contact me (above) and make a donation direct to the Migaloo 2 Foundation (donation button above) to help with maintenance and to support the marine conservation work I do with Migaloo 2.

Protest at Shark nets being deployed around Ballina
“SHARK NET; MEDIA RELEASE 18-11-2016.
Today North Coast Marine conservation groups and marine lovers came together today at Ballina’s Light house Beach, to let the NSW Premier, Mike Baird know that they don’t want the rope Shark nets installed off Ballina’s beaches or anywhere along the Australian coast line. The 60 Marine conservationist chanted No Shark Nets while the Premier spoke to the media. After talking briefly to some of the people present and while leaving the area, Dean Jefferys, dress in a Hammerhead Shark costume wrapped Mike Baird in a net. Dean Jefferys said “I did this to give the Premier an opportunity to experience what it is like to be a marine creature trapped in a shark net. The Premier was lucky, he wasn’t tangled up underwater unable to breathe, like the 16500 marine creatures that have died in the last 65 years in NSW waters because of these indiscriminate killing nets. 4773 endangered Hammerhead shark are part of the 12000 marine creatures killed as non targeted species in these shark nets 6 pm
Hammerhead Shark catches Mike Baird in Shark net.
Drone operator, Dean Jefferys, who is also skipper of marine conservation yacht Migaloo 2 said “We have the technology and resources to reduce dramatically the chance of an unwanted encounter with a shark yet the Premier, Mike Baird prefers to go against his own scientific advice and install these outdated indiscriminate killing nets. A volunteer based group called Shark watch recently had to rely on funding from Byron Council to do shark spotting with a drone which was one solution recommended to Mike Baird from his scientific team. Instead of supporting innovative shark spotting programs like this, the Premier has decided to pander to some ill informed surfers, noisy locals and business operators. He will squander probably Millions of dollars on nets and maintenance that could go into other more effective methods of shark control that don’t indiscriminately kill local and migrating marine life.”
“Shark nets are purely cosmetic to convince tourists and locals they are “safe”. There is no scientific evidence that the shark nets actually make swimmers safer. Sharks can swim over, under, and around the nets and are often caught on the inside while leaving the netted area. Referencing data from the NSW Shark Meshing Program there were 16,696 deaths of marine creatures from 1959 to 2014. See attached data sheet. Sharks play an important role in maintaining a healthy marine ecosystem and should not be seen as the monster that Jaws made them out to be 40 years ago. Its time to move on from this fear based movie set and get with the times”
“The New South Wales Primary Industries Minister Niall Blair said the locations to install the nets were chosen after a process of community consultation yet there was not one question in the “community consultation” survey that asked if the community actually wanted the shark nets or not. It was as I assumed, carefully chosen questions to give the impression that they consulted with the community yet in reality it was the same as Metgasco version of the CSG “community consultation”.” see FB event https://www.facebook.com/events/216224188816361/
July 2016….I just saw migaloo the white whale off Hastings point heading north at 11-30 am 26th July 2016. I then went to Cabarita headland and watched migaloo from there also. Yeah so happy. I know some whale watch operators and private boats get way to close with there loud motor noise and constant hassling. I tuned in and sent an apology on behalf of the humans for the hassling he gets from humans. A friend at Hastings point this morning got some great footage from a silent Phatom 4 drone. I lot quieter and less intrusive. He had to fly it 3.5 km over the water to film him. A miracle he found him with the drone. I may use some of this amazing footage of migaloo in my coming doco. I want one. Ill post that footage soon. When i returned home i had to lay down in bed for an hour to ground and tune back into him. I was so high seeing him. Migaloo means white fella in local indigenous language and in Mirrning language they have a legend about a white whale they call Jeedera similar to the hopi prophecy about the white buffalo signifying great change coming. Currently Sea Shepherd have a campaign called “Operation Jeedera” to stop Oil mining in the Great Australian Bight. Seems appropriate. Im currently fundraising to make a doco that will in part look at the role of whales in humans evolution. This has been a great blessing and inspiration just before I am due to head to Mexico to make a new Shamanic Documentary, working title “The God Molecule and the Shamanic Toad” or (The Toad the Whale and the Sun) It’s a personal journey into the mysterious Shamanic world of the most powerful entheogenic molecule known to man, 5-MeO-DMT or “The God Molecule” as many are now calling it. Read more about it and support the crowd funding of it on this site at https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-god-molecule-and-the-shamanic-toad–2/x/13295701#/

The Whale Whisperers is a mysterious journey to the final frontier of the natural world, communicating telepathically with animals. Following is a promo clip I made for the film.
Im currently in Migaloo 2 in Moololabar waiting for the right winds to sail to Hervey Bay. 11. aug 2015 Following is one clip from the trip going past Shark nets at Snapper Rocks
See the you tube clip below to see how the 2015 launch went and what was live streamed to the world. Starts about 15 mins in. We warned about the risk of whales getting caught in shark nets and during the last week 2 Whales tangled in Shark nets off Gold Coast and One baby died. See blog and lobby contacts in left column

“One focus of this years trip in Migaloo 2 will be looking at shark culling and shark nets along the coast and examine the associated problems. While the issue of shark culling with bait drums has been raised in WA with the hundreds of tiger sharks killed over there this year, many people do not realise hundreds of these apex predators are senselessly killed along the Queensland coast with bait drums and shark nets. Many migrating humpback whales and dolphins are tangled and killed in these nets annually.”
Feels like we are on a roll. Last year the International Court of Justice told Japan to stop killing whales in the Antarctic and this week The Australian Minister for Energy told CSG co Metagasgo that their licence to drill a well at Bentley was suspended. PATHWAY TO WHALE FREEDOM by Dean Jefferys 4-4-2014…While watching the International Court of Justice, ICJ, give its verdict that meant the Japanese whalers would no longer be shooting exploding harpoons into my whale friends in the Antarctic I screamed so loud I though someone might call the police. For over 10 years myself and millions of people around the world have been wondering how is it possible that these magnificent creatures of the ocean are still being killed under the blatant lie of “scientific research” This lie, that resulted in over 10000 whales being killed is finally exposed in the Highest Court on this Planet Ocean. This is a major victory for the whales and a huge step forward in humanities evolution. Japan may choose to keep killing whales in the northern hemisphere yet a precedent has been set and if they do, other northern hemisphere countries can challenge Japan in the ICJ again and most likely win. see more in blog to the left and this FB photo album linkhttps://www.facebook.com/dean.jefferys.5/media_set?set=a.10152333818473501.1073741830.590968500&type=1..
